The Coalition of Italian American Organizations of Delaware County is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich heritage, traditions, and contributions of Italian Americans in Delaware County and the surrounding region. Our coalition brings together a network of Italian-American cultural societies, community organizations, charitable groups, and local leaders who share a commitment to honoring our heritage while strengthening the community we serve.

Founded on the principles of heritage, community, and service, the Coalition works to unite organizations that celebrate Italian culture, history, and traditions. Through collaboration with our member and sister organizations, we promote cultural education, community engagement, and charitable outreach while helping ensure that the traditions passed down through generations continue to thrive.

One of the Coalition’s most recognized initiatives is the annual Italian American Heritage Festival, held at Rose Tree Park. This festival brings together families, local businesses, cultural organizations, and visitors from across the region to celebrate Italian-American culture through authentic food, music, entertainment, and cultural exhibits. The event highlights the pride and traditions of the Italian-American community while welcoming people of all backgrounds to experience and enjoy the culture.

In addition to cultural programming and public events, the Coalition is deeply committed to charitable giving and community support. Through the Italian American Heritage Foundation, proceeds from our events help support several important causes and community organizations, including The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence, the HEADstrong Foundation, programs assisting those affected by Cooley’s Anemia, and educational initiatives such as Italian studies and nursing programs at local universities.

The Coalition is powered by dedicated volunteers and the generous support of community members, sponsors, and partner organizations. Together, we strive to create opportunities for people to connect with their heritage, celebrate Italian culture, and contribute to meaningful causes that benefit the community.
